Blossoms are such a joy to photograph!
Blossom season, aka Spring, I absolutely love blossom season. I biked yesterday to Trompenburg Tuinen en Arboretum and had to stop at this little pond. There’s another pond, that is also super photogenic, but the groundskeepers were busy there, so I stuck to this little area for my first photos of the day.
Kralingen is always so charming, and in the Spring and Summer it’s at its best. I’ll admit though since people during Covid-19, are working at home I feel a bit uncomfortable photographing the streets, and homes. Don’t want to get barked at by home owners that might think I’m zooming into their homes. That said I have managed this year to get a few good shots in the neighborhood.
I did make it to Trompenburg, in fact I stayed too long. I lost track of time in the ‘voedsel bos’ which is the editable forest part of the garden. I returned to the main garden and noticed it was extremely quiet, even for Trompenburg. I had overstayed my visit by almost 20 minutes. I felt so bad! Luckily nobody appeared to be held up by me, and I could get out the gate still. Next time I’m sitting an alarm. In all honesty it felt wonderful to loose track of time, but it isn’t nice for the staff, so I’ll be avoiding that mistake again.
Here are some of the flowers from the day, the blossoms. The rest will be available soon.
As always these photos are available for free under the Unsplash & Pexels licenses. Pexels has video as well as a wider selection of photos from the session.
